What company (or companies) did you work at before Scale? I spent the past 15 years at Eicoff, a part of WPP and Ogilvy. Prior to that, I worked 2 years at a small agency in KC called Gragg Advertising.
What is your proudest moment? Seeing my buy placements grow businesses and being a small part of those success stories.
If you could be anywhere other than here, right this minute, where would you be? (Don’t overthink it!) Probably on a flight. Traveling is my passion. I love exploring, whether that means a Chicago neighborhood I’ve not seen….or somewhere halfway around the globe.
When you were 10 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up? I don’t recall at 10, but I guess at “Kindergarten graduation” at 5, I answered that question with firefighter.
Finish this sentence. On Sunday mornings, you can usually find me… either at church or in bed. Depends on my discipline that day…or the activities of the night before.
How do you think your colleagues would describe you? Personable, witty, smart, cranky before coffee.
What’s the most exciting thing on your bucket list? Visiting every country on Earth (or nearly all of them.) I’d also like to ride in a sidecar of a motorcycle. No idea why, but it’s on the list.
What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working? Traveling. Sleeping. Socializing with friends/family.
What are you complimented on most in your work? My adaptability to different work styles/personalities, my pulse on the media marketplace, my effective communication.
Where is your favorite place you’ve traveled? An expedition deep into the Amazon Rainforest in Ecuador was a transformative experience for me.
What’s your favorite thing about your city (Chicago)? The summer. The amazing food. The hard-working, driven people who still (generally) are very nice.
