Where did you grow up? I grew up in Houston, Texas. It’s where I learned the value of hard work, straight talk, and showing up for people. Fourteen years ago, Chicago became home, and it’s shaped me just as much—professionally and personally.

What is your proudest moment? Personally, it’s building a life that aligns with my values—work with purpose, creativity outside of work, and a home grounded in care (including two rescued cats).

Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about? When I travel, I love capturing quiet, unscripted moments—people, light, and movement. It’s a creative outlet that balances the structure of HR leadership.

If you could be anywhere other than here, right this minute, where would you be? Walking through a city with character and history—camera in hand—somewhere like Prague, Mexico City, or Lisbon. No agenda, just observing and documenting life as it unfolds.

On Sunday mornings, you can usually find me… easing into the day with coffee, my cats close by, and a slow start that feels intentional and grounding.

How do you think your colleagues would describe you? Calm under pressure, fair, and deeply people-focused. Someone who listens first, asks thoughtful questions, and balances business needs with humanity.

What is on your bucket list? Travel more intentionally. Continue mentoring the next generation of HR leaders. And keep building a life that leaves room for curiosity and creativity.

What are you complimented on most in your work? My ability to bring clarity to complex situations and to lead with empathy without losing sight of results. People often say they trust my judgment—and that’s a compliment I don’t take lightly.
